I always thought it was fail as in abort/retry….?
Surprised that, if not the case, someone hasn’t already downloaded every 8 and 16 bit rom on the internets and written something to go through the code and harvest anything eng(r?)lish for meme testing and propogation.
There’s only so many 8-bit games – what happens when the meems run out? Look at mining for fish and so on – they just don’t have the same longevity as all your base. Perhaps it is the bitmaps?
